Roquetes is situated where Tortosa starts or ends: it is a town with its own personality but it is joined to the capital of the Baix Ebre by the same residents, shops and industry. The municipality of Roquetes stretches along the Ebro Valley to the hills of Els Ports. Its border thus extend to the boundary marked by the peaks of these fantastic mountains. Roquetes can also be the starting point for excursions to Els Ports and to the towns on the northern and southern banks of the Ebro. Its economy is based on agriculture and industry. It is known all over the world for the craft manufacture of church bells.
